The Paddler Water Sports Base at Yongning Park in Huangyan is beginning to take shape, with interior renovation work currently underway in October. This base is a key achievement of Yongning Industrial Investment Group, which actively introduced the Pai Doushi Water Sports Club as part of its efforts to create a new sports industry ecosystem and further enrich the cultural and athletic life of local residents.
As the first public water sports base in the Taizhou region, the Pai Doushi Water Sports Club will offer training and organize competitions for a variety of non-motorized water sports, including paddleboarding, ocean kayaks, flatwater kayaking, canoeing, hydrofoiling, rowing, and small sailing vessels. The club currently boasts over 150 different watercraft and more than 500 water sports enthusiasts. It has participated in numerous national events such as Paddle Jiangnan and Marathon Water Sports.
The base is expected to open for trial operation in mid-November. Another branch, located at Wudong Bridge, is also in the preparation phase. In addition to water sports training for all age groups, the club will introduce family paddling trips, water-based education programs, water yoga, and cultural and recreational activities.
“The establishment of this club will offer the public a broader range of exciting and diverse sports activities,” said Gu Yuanyuan, Director of the Office of Yongning Industrial Investment Group. “Water sports not only provide recreational opportunities for the community but also serve as a bridge to integrate various urban public spaces. By hosting competitions, the club will showcase the city's vitality and image, while also promoting the integration of the sports, culture, and tourism industries.”
