As autumn arrives, a new harvest season brings a fresh selection of produce. Recently, the new mini cucumber variety "Bicui No. 20," introduced in Huangyan District, has ripened and hit the market. "Bicui No. 20" is a new breed of mini cucumber with a smooth, thornless, green exterior, smaller than traditional cucumbers. Known for its crisp, juicy texture and refreshing flavor, it offers a delightful eating experience.

Unlike regular cucumbers, "Bicui No. 20" features straight, glossy cucumbers about 15 to 18 centimeters in length. The farm has dedicated 20 mu (approximately 13,333 square meters) to this crop, yielding about 1,500 kilograms per acre. Priced at 10 RMB (approximately $1.4) per kilogram upon harvest, these cucumbers reach maturity in just one month. By using a "multi-season, year-round" rotation model, each acre increases revenue by an estimated 20,000 to 30,000 RMB (approximately$2,800-4,200) annually.
