Ningxi, with over 800 years of history, is a town rich in cultural heritage and ancient landmarks. Among these landmarks is the mysterious "Paoma Tower."
The "Paoma Tower" is a two-story building with staircases at each corner and an open corridor on the second floor, reminiscent of a horse track—thus, its name, which means "Horse-Racing Tower." Built in 1933, it was originally owned by Wang Rizhao, a skilled silversmith whose business success led him to construct this "mansion." The entrance features a unique blend of Chinese and Western architectural elements.
Walking through Paoma Tower, one can feel the rich, dynamic history of Ningxi and appreciate the vibrant cultural legacy that unfolds in every corner.
