Huayan Mountain is Taizhou's only provincial-level scenic area, spanning a total area of 11.52 square kilometers. Part of the Kuocang Mountain range, it extends from west to east and is known for its dramatic landscape featuring rugged, towering cliffs, lush forests, and winding streams. The unique combination of waterfalls, pools, and caves provides visitors with opportunities for sightseeing, adventure, and educational experiences, making it a captivating hilltop scenic area.
The park is renowned for its waterfalls, with Xuepotan and Feiyan Falls being among the most spectacular. Noteworthy peaks include Huaping Peak, Pingzhang Peak, Liuzhi Peak, Santun Peak, and Mile Peak, each offering stunning and unique formations.
Huayan Mountain is also home to rare geological formations, including fracture layers and labyrinthine rift valleys. A highlight of the area is the Eagle’s Path, a narrow stone passageway suspended along a cliff face. Just under a meter wide, this challenging trail offers breathtaking views of the abyss below. Eagle’s Path connects with waterfalls at both upper and lower levels, creating a stunning panorama of cascading waterfalls, soaring cliffs, and crisscrossing rifts, a scenic masterpiece of beauty and thrill.
