Good news! After a year of meticulous work, the Huangyan Grottoes Cultural and Art Center project is nearing completion. This ancient quarry site, bearing a thousand years of history, is set to make its stunning debut before the Spring Festival, two months ahead of schedule.
At the Huangyan Grottoes in Jiangkou Street, the sound of chisels echoes continuously as workers race against time to refine the connections between the walking paths and boardwalks. Moving inch by inch along the paths, they inspect the stone slabs for precise alignment, using tools to delicately adjust them so that each piece fits together perfectly. On the boardwalks, workers rigorously check each connection point, ensuring the highest safety standards are met with a professional and meticulous approach.
"We focus on key details, addressing safety hazards such as the alignment of walking path stone slabs and joints, structural connections of boardwalk components, and the stability of handrails, to ensure smooth and efficient operations in the future," said Zhang An, the project leader.
Huangyan Grottoes, along with Wenling Changyu Dongtian and Sanmen Shepan Island, is a millennium-old quarry site. Its interior features clear, meandering waters and interconnected caves. Natural rock art, like a timeline engraved on the walls, adorns the grotto. Towering stone warehouses rise over 100 meters, while artificial caves display an exquisite interplay of natural and human-made beauty.
