Bailuwan Village in Huangyan Selected for 2024 Cultural Rural Development List

Recently, Zhejiang announced the 2024 list of cultural rural development projects, with Bailuwan Village in Ningxi Town being selected. The village covers 2.05 square kilometers and is home to 1,200 people. Known for its printmaking heritage, it is the hometown of renowned artist Gu Yixing.

The village is transforming with over 2,000 square meters of printmaking art on display and new cultural facilities like a cultural hall and art museum. The integration of cultural tourism, printmaking product development, and lantern festival promotions has boosted both the local economy and visibility. Regular cultural events enhance community life, benefiting both residents and tourists.
