A thousand-year-old Quarrying Site Is Reborn

Recently, the Huangyan Grottoes located in Huangyan District, Taizhou City have attracted many tourists to visit the huge quarrying relics.

It is reported that Huangyan Grottoes was originally a quarrying site with a history of thousands of years, which was once forgotten by time. In order to restore the charm of the grottoes, the local government of Huangyan commissioned a well-known domestic team of architects to carry out protective ecological restoration design work for the Huangyan Grottoes.

Based on the shape and characteristics of the caves and with the concept of minimal intervention, the team carefully created three caves with different styles: urban living room, entertainment and leisure, and theme restaurant. This not only retains the historical charm of the caves, but also gives them the flavor of modern life.

The once abandoned mine has now been transformed into a palace of culture and art, carrying the weight of history and modern vitality, welcoming visitors from all over the world.
