To boost urban environmental quality and highlight the orange-themed charm of our hometown, Huangyan district has initiated the "Orange City in Bloom" project. This three-year initiative aims to create an integrated orange cultural landscape while reinforcing the "China's Orange Homeland" brand.

At Xijiang Park, newly planted citrus trees thrive with lush foliage. Workers methodically cover soil and trim branches to ensure healthy growth.

Near Ruyi Bridge, excavators, cranes, and trucks operate in harmony. Over 20 workers simultaneously level land and transport saplings, creating a dynamic construction scene.

As a core component of the 2025 "Yongning Craftsmanship" plan, the project will plant 4,200 "Bendizao" trees this year along seven scenic routes including Yongning River’s Greenway and Dongguan River's Shipingqiaoli area. By 2025, 58,000 trees will adorn 1,600 mu of riverbanks, roads, and urban trails, establishing a distinctive orange-themed urban identity.

Unlike standard urban greenery, citrus trees require specialized care. Agricultural experts will provide continuous pest control, fertilization, and pruning guidance, while certified horticulturists ensure professional maintenance for optimal survival and floral displays.
