Recently, the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) released its latest world rankings, and Huang Yuting has officially claimed the top spot in the women’s 10m air rifle event for the first time, with an impressive total of 6,136 points. Born in 2006 in Huangyan District, Zhejiang Province, Huang has become one of China’s brightest young shooting stars.

She made a sensational international debut at the 2022 ISSF World Championships in Cairo, where she won two gold medals and one silver, securing China a spot at the Paris Olympics. Her momentum continued in 2023 at the Hangzhou Asian Games, where she claimed three gold medals and broke the Asian Games record in the women’s 10m air rifle. In 2024, Huang added even more achievements to her name by winning the Olympic gold in the mixed team 10m air rifle and silver in the individual event, as well as capturing the gold at the ISSF World Cup Final in the same category.
