To promote cultural prosperity and elevate the city's cultural IP, the "Ten Miles of Red Dowry, A City Fragrant with Tangerines" Zui Huangyan Intangible Cultural Heritage Year commenced on May 1, blending traditional and modern elements to attract crowds.

Amidst the interplay of light and shadow, the intangible cultural heritage performances made a stunning opening. At 7:30 PM, the launch ceremony at Yongning Park ignited the atmosphere with a luminous show over the Yongning River. Southern Tai Chi unfolded with serene elegance, while the Gaotai (High Terrace) Lion Dance showcased spirited vigor. The resounding beats of Ningxi Bronze Gongs and the melodious anthem "A Millennium of Yongning" echoed through the air. The theatrical performance Ode to Red Dowry recreated Song-style wedding customs, with eight couples receiving authentic Song-style marriage certificates. A fleet of 1,000 drones painted the night sky with motifs of cultural heritage, seamlessly merging tradition and modernity.

Diverse activities immersed visitors in the charm of Song-dynasty heritage. At the Long Table Banquet, the aroma of Shibingtong—Taizhou’s iconic rice flour wraps stuffed with savory ingredients—filled the air. Artisans demonstrated crafts like Fanhuang Bamboo Carving at heritage markets, while the "Twelve Hours of Yongning Guanhe" event offered a vibrant cultural tapestry. On Xingfu Island, a collective Song-style wedding captivated attendees, with couples dressed in Hanfu celebrating love through ancient rituals. Along Guanhe Water Street, the Song Aesthetic Life Week featured lantern dances, fish lantern performances, and other activities, transporting visitors to the elegance of the Song era.

The shimmering lights along the Yongning River marked only the beginning of this cultural feast. Huangyan’s stories of intangible heritage continue to unfold, weaving history, artistry, and local flavor into an unforgettable legacy.
