On May 18, the 2025 Changtan Lake Cycling Race launched at Tianyou City in Huangyan, marking the first leg of the China Cycling Tour (Lake Series). Hosted by the Chinese Cycling Association, Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau, and Zhejiang Provincial Sports Federation, the event drew over 1,500 riders from 25 provinces and overseas.
The 100km course circled Changtan Lake’s core area with 805M elevation gain, blending flat sprints and hilly challenges on closed roads. Riders cycled through crystal-clear waters, green hills, tangerine groves, and traditional villages. The final lakeside greenway offered panoramic views, where elites raced fiercely while others enjoyed the scenery.
