Recently, four pocket parks—Shili Plum Fragrance Park, Qingxian Park, Donghua Park, and Xijiang Park—have been renovated, with the first three included in 2025's livelihood projects. To date, 22 pocket parks have been upgraded in the district.
Focusing on public needs, Huangyan has transformed urban "golden corners and silver edges" (referring to overlooked urban corners and edges with great potential for transformation into efficient public spaces) into small, diverse, eco-friendly green spaces, advancing toward a "thousand-park, thousand-face" system.
Shili Plum Fragrance Park, in Nancheng Sub-district near Nanguan River (2,815㎡), retains ancient "Shili Plum Forest" heritage. Renovations optimized layouts and added facilities, blending leisure with cultural display.
Xijiang Park, a riverside green space by Xijiang River, integrates ecology, red education, and sports. It features a 5km fitness trail, tennis courts, fitness equipment, and multi-functional zones for leisure and learning.
Qingxian Park, a strip-shaped park in Beicheng Sub-district along Jiangbei Canal, highlights "Orange-hometown Huangyan" culture via orange-toned elements and trees, offering all-age sports and shared spaces.
Donghua Park, near Jiucheng Avenue, uses lines and pavement to create tree-array squares, under-forest fitness areas, and leisure zones linked by a track, meeting residents' needs while blending into urban landscapes.
