The "Tangerine-Scented Green Corridor" along the Yongning River in Huangyan is under vigorous construction. Once completed, this leisure space integrating the charm of the "orange hometown" and riverside ecology will become a new choice for citizens to take walks and enjoy leisure time.
The "Tangerine-Scented Green Corridor" corresponds to the Jiayu Road Greening Project in Huangyan District, a key part of the "Orange City Fragrance" program, constructed by Huangyan Urban Development Group. Located in the riverside area of Chengxi New Town, Huangyan District, the project is bounded by the Yongning River to the north and Jiayu Road to the south, stretching from Qingfeng Bridge in the west to Century Avenue in the east. With a total land area of approximately 126 mu (about 8.4 hectares), the project will be constructed in phases.
Adhering to the "Ecology +" design concept, the project will, on the basis of ensuring flood control safety and protecting aquatic ecosystems and water quality, optimize the park's transportation network, construct facilities such as flood control roads, ecological greenways, and waterfront boardwalks, and enhance recreational facilities.
Meanwhile, it will explore cultural elements, unlock tourism potential, and build a green ecological camping park that integrates flood control and drainage, ecological restoration, leisure and recreation, and cultural exhibition—further activating the vitality of the Yongning River waterfront. In addition, the project will deeply integrate regional characteristics, focusing on creating a water-based "Orange Isle" themed around Huangyan mandarins. By artistically reinterpreting the texture of orange nurseries and transforming it into smooth traffic flows and wetland shoreline forms, it will simultaneously expand activity areas for camping and platform fishing, making it a key popular gathering spot along the Yongning River.
