Wondering where to go this Golden Week? Head to Huangyan Museum for two must-see ceramic exhibitions—plus fun check-in spots like the “Hunzhi (Mix)” Zone and a featured coffee shop.

First up: Masterpieces of the Flourishing Age – Rare Jingdezhen Ceramics of the Qing Dynasty’s Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong Reign Periods (September 27 – December 10, 1st Floor Special Hall). Hosted by the Huangyan District Government and the Jingdezhen Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, it showcases the peak of Qing Dynasty ceramic craftsmanship—exquisite imperial kiln pieces and delicate folk ceramic relics. It also connects Jingdezhen’s Imperial Kiln Factory (a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit) and the Qing Dynasty’s ceramic supervisor Tang Ying to Huangyan’s Song Dynasty culture, forging unique cultural links.

Then there’s Elegance of the East – 2025 Jingdezhen Contemporary Ceramic Exchange Exhibition (September 27 – October 27, 1st Floor Lobby). Focused on modern vitality, it features top contemporary works: national gift ceramics and archaistic pieces. It also ties in Huangyan’s Shabu Kiln (the late Tang Dynasty, a link between Yue Kiln and Longquan Kiln) to highlight Jingdezhen’s ceramic innovation.

During the exhibitions, join in hands-on ceramic workshops and browse a market on the museum’s South Gate Square for a rich experience. Admission is free—don’t miss this blend of history, art, and fun!
